On August 2, I attended the afternoon Pool Show at the Ice Palace, hosted by past Misses Fire Island—with a host of other titles—Ariel Sinclair and Brenda Dharling, assisted by DJ Chuck McTague. Their guests were Victoria Falls, Clarice DuBois, and Fifi DuBois. In the audience was past New York Empress Sugar B. Real, who, we were all told, is running for Empress again this year.
That evening, my friend and colleague Sherri Rase and I went to singer Porsche’s show, with DJ Chuck again responsible for music and sound. Porsche’s guests were Johny Pool, joined by Porsche in singing “What a Wonderful World” and “Hello, Dolly!”; Clarice DuBois, who also sang; and Fifi Dubois, who contributed a number. The audience included, beside Empress Sugar, several others from the Imperial Court of New York. |
