On July 30, on the beach at Fire Island Pines, the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association (FIPPOA) Charitable Foundation and Josh Woods Productions presented the fairy tale-themed “Once Upon a Pines Party,” benefiting the FIPPOA Charitable Foundation, Stonewall Community Foundation, and Arts Project of Cherry Grove.
Gyrating on two dance floors, to music by Joe Gauthreaux, DJ Lina, and Horse Meat Disco of London, and enjoying the colorful tents set up on the Midway between them, on a balmy night, were imaginatively costumed satyrs, unicorns, Kings, Queens and knights, exotic insects, Pinocchios, angels and devils, harem girls, and leathermen, at least one proudly naked.
