The Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG) held a Casino night, with the theme of “Into the Woods,” jointly with the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association (FIPPOA), at Whyte Hall on July 30, the night of the Pines Party, for a second consecutive year, and brought Casino night back to the Community House in Cherry Grove, after a year’s hiatus, on September 10.
As Summer Camp has been the theme of APCG events this season, the September 10 event was billed as the Space Camp Casino, and we morphed into aliens and astronauts, space warriors and space cadets, Barbarella clones, and “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” and “Rocky Horror” characters for the evening.
This Casino night added approximately $4,000 to APCG’s coffers.
The APCG season’s final event will be the “Into the Woods”-themed gala ball on September 24, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the Ice Palace.
