On June 11, the good Sisters of Delta-Phelta-Guy welcomed one and all to Coco and Margo’s digs for a rip-snortin’ afternoon with skanky wenches, in gingham and animal prints; truck drivers; and hillbillies in overalls; not to mention country music; open bar; and snacks to make the epicurean blanch—Velveeta hors d’oeuvres and cheese balls, anyone? The event was the Trailer Trash Tea and was a benefit for the Arts Project of Cherry Grove. Coco Love and Bobbi Green did country numbers. There was wholesome Country/Western dancin’, and big hair and missing teeth, flannel and Hawaiian shirts, and bandanna bonnets were very much in evidence. Sometimes it’s good to have imaginative boot, skootin’ buggying friends in low places!
