The New York City-based Excelsior Motorcycle Club (www.excelsiormc.org) will hold its 36th anniversary, Atlantic Motorcycle Club Community (AMCC)-sanctioned “Lust for Life” leather weekend, billed as “The Good, the Bad and the HORny,” in Cherry Grove from May 20 to 22.
Registration forms are available on Excelsior’s web site and the price of registering is $125 or, after April 1, $135.
The clothing-optional Belvedere Guesthouse for Men (www.belvederefireisland.com) is the host hotel and, when booking rooms there or at the Grove Hotel (www.grovehotel.com) for that weekend, mention Excelsior MC for a special rate.
Meals at Cherry Grove establishments, pool parties and cocktail parties at Belvedere and, weather permitting, time on the beautiful Cherry Grove beach will be among the highlights of the forthcoming “Lust for Life” weekend.
Coincidental with the weekend, the Grove Hotel will host the Mr. Fire Island Leather 2011 contest, on May 21—it is the 11th annual contest and 10th anniversary of the first one, which was held in May 2001—as well as other events geared toward visiting and resident leatherfolk.
