Cherry Grove and New York City writer and artist Jack Dowling recently informed Q News that his short story, "Curtain Time," has been published on line in the Winter-Spring 2010 issue of Hamilton Stone Review.
"Curtain Time" concerns a strange encounter that takes place just before a dance performance at the Joyce Theatre in Chelsea. The story can be found at www.hamiltonstone.org.
Jack was one of several Cherry Grove writers who read short works, or works-in-progress, of fiction and non-fiction, at the Cherry Grove Firehouse, at readings organized during the summers of 2008 and 2009. He shared his short stories, several of them set in Italy, at these gatherings. He has also displayed his paintings at Arts Project of Cherry Grove Art Shows at the Community House.
