Fire Island Q News recently interviewed Robin Byrd on the occasion of her campaign for a seat on the Fire Island Pines Property Owners' (FIPPOA) Board of Directors. Robin did not win one of the five open seats, at the FIPPOA election at Whyte Hall on September 27, but newly seated on the Board were Jane Groveman, Dr. Lori Zeller and Roger Kluge, and reelected were Ariadne Villareal and former FIPPOA President Alan Brockman, who had presided for 24 years. This marks the first time that three women have ever sat together on the FIPPOA Board, according to Lori.
