The Concerned Women of the Grove, who raised over $53,000 for Gilda's Club New York City and the Stony Brook Center for Breast Cancer Research at their 14th annual Breast Cancer Benefit on August 1, will themselves be honored by the former organization by being presented with the "Bill Model Heart of Gold Award" at its 15th Annual Benefit Gala, entitled "Celebrating Our Family: Our Commitment to Community," at the Pierre Hotel, Fifth Avenue at 61st Street, in Manhattan, on November 19. The cocktail reception and silent auction, at this black tie event, begin at 6:30 p.m., and the dinner, awards ceremony and live auction start at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets begin at $500, for supporters, and $1,000, for benefactors, and go up to $50,000 apiece, and all are tax deductible.
WABC-TV's Diana Williams hosts the evening and Sotheby's Mary Jo Otsea conducts the auction of such items as a week's stay in Paris, two night stays at L'Auberge Del Mar and Terranea Resort in California, dinner with Miss USA and Miss Universe, and tickets to a "Saturday Night Live" dress rehearsal.
