Henry Sterling's 14th annual Memorial Day Weekend deck sale, benefiting PAWS-the Pines Animal Welfare Society-Cherry Grove branch, and held in memory of the Grove's Robert "Bo" Sherman and Bill "Violet" Silver, opened on the beautiful, sunny morning of May 23. Less than an hour into the sale, bargain-hunters already crammed the ocean-side deck at 96 Greene Walk, buying dishes, glasses, videotapes, books, drag, sheet-and-pillow case sets, bric-a-brac and other treasures for a contribution to the invaluable animal rescue organization. The two-day sale raised $5,073 for PAWS.
