| John Mansueto & HQ Margo's Coice painting 'After Storm Dunes' |

The Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG), founded in 1948, held its 60th annual Art Show, at the Community House, on July 26 and 27.
Homecoming Queen Margo cut the ribbon at noon on the first day to open the show officially and awarded her Queen's Choice ribbon to John Mansueto for his painting "After Storm Dunes," depicting a view from the Sunken Forest. Margo's mate, APCG President Michael Coffindaffer, presented the President's Choice ribbon to an "untitled" painting by Cathy Eckdahl, who described her work as an "abstraction of language and nature together."
Photographs, jewelry and crafts were displayed in addition to paintings. Lorraine Michels showed off her recent Fourth of July Invasion of the Pines photo, "The Kiss," of Coco and Margo. Gimmi Hoffa exhibited his Invasion photos and Warren Boyd Wexler, his nature photos.

Other photographers included Robert Conlon, Sherri Rase, Marilyn Jaeckel and Patrick Rinn. Stacey Gail brought paintings and jewelry; Phil "Philomena" Stoehr, his jewelry; and Lu Strain, her ever-popular pottery. Larry Crawford came from Texas to show his always- intriguing paintings, this time executed on painters' palettes. Others showing their paintings included Eleanor Eick, Louis Nelson, Jeff Greenberg and Tom Starace. Michael Fitzgerald, Dan Evans and Fran Reinhardt were among the others displaying artistic efforts.
