| Matt Rosenblum & John Piazza Celebrate 30 Years Together, Peter Romano & Wynn Tucker Celebrate 60 |

On September 29, at a very festive and well-attended party at the Tides, Matt Rosenblum and John Piazza, sometimes known as Gimmi and Marianne Hoffa, celebrated their 30th anniversary together and offered a salute to Peter Romano and Wynn Tucker in honor of their 60th, which was in June. There was a gala buffet dinner and open bar and many of the friends and family members of the celebrants heeded the instruction on the invitation, "Dress: colorful."
Explaining, "The first segment was ladylike, the second segment is not," Charity paid tribute to our friends with "I'm Getting Married in the Morning," from "My Fair Lady," because, "That's the song that Matt sang to John 30 years ago" and, as they've been to Paris, "I Love Paris" and "C'est Magnifique," from "Can-Can." She followed these with the more earthy "When You're Good to Mama," from "Chicago," "Hey, Big Spender," from-what else?-"Sweet Charity," and "The Lady Is a Tramp," from "Babes in Arms." In her emotional numbers, Renée Flaming declared, "You should have listened" and "Trouble is a woman with a man on her mind." Michael John was the DJ.

"I want to thank our family and our non-Cherry Grove friends and our Cherry Grove friends for being here," said Matt, from the stage, after the show. "Cherry Grove has been a part of our lives for the last 30 years and part of our nurturing process," he continued, and recognized other longtime couples present. With their six decades together, Peter and Wynn had all others beat and Matt honored them, saying, "You've been a role model to us."
Addressing the assembled, John quipped, "If our relationship could survive this weekend, we're in for another 30," and he and Matt brought their relatives to the stage. Pointing to John's mother, Matt added, "This is what Marianne is going to look like in 30 years." Matt recounted the story of his sister dressing him as Queen Esther for a local Purim party, when she was 11 and he was three, and concluded, "I won first prize." John ended with, "Thank you, Cherry Grove, for your love and support."
Friends sang "Happy Anniversary" to Wynn and Peter, an anniversary cake for them was served, and Ray Baez proposed a champagne toast to them for their 60 years as a couple.
