Bella and Guests Give
Fine First Show of Season |

Bella gave her first show of the season at the Ice Palace on July 8 and, after opening with a hot "Push the Button," from "The Color Purple," presented a quartet of illustrious guests.
Demi-Tasse appeared as a cowgirl in white, with gold shoes and trimmings, reminding, "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden." Nikki Starr, as Cher, was in white as well, an ethereal vision, explaining "The Way of Love." "She's so fucking real, it's pathetic," charged Bella. "Even in her bathrobe, she's gorgeous."
Bella dished Paris Hilton for fearing that the lesbians in jail would put the make on her, and told Jeannie Lieberman that she would only lend her the ruffles she wore on Invasion if Jeannie were in a coffin, with Bella burying her alive.
Viva Sexx glittered as she offered "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" in jewels and leopard skin. Bella said that Viva should get the title part "if they ever make the Jayne Mansfield story" as a movie. Looking elegant-not-Angela Mercy merited the standing ovation she got for proffering tips on trashy chic as Edie Beale, in "Grey Gardens," earnestly holding forth on "the revolutionary costume for today."
Bella dedicated her closing number, complaining about hot flashes and other problems of "the middle-aged woman," to the women present, some of them members of Concerned Women of the Grove, which holds its big annual breast cancer benefit, in which Bella participates, on August 4. She threatened she would kill Charity if Charity stole the number from her.
The next Bella Show is scheduled for August 5.
